FAQ

Questions, answered.

What the CCI is, how the at-home scan works, and what your score does — and doesn't — mean.

What is the CCI?

The Cum Capacity Index is our proprietary score for a single sample. We quantify how much protein is in your sample, apply your kit's batch-specific calibration, and return one standardized number that's comparable across every test and every person. Higher is higher.

What does my CCI mean biologically?

Honestly? That's the open question. Your CCI reflects how much protein is in your sample — a real measurement, though one that also swings with things like abstinence, hydration, and the sample itself. Protein in semen isn't new to science, but measuring it like this — at home, standardized, at scale, and tracked against your own life — has never been done. So whether it moves with your lifestyle — sleep, training, stress, recovery — is something nobody has actually looked at. We make no claim it means you're healthier or more fertile. For now it's a number to compare and track — and connecting it to the things that might move it is exactly what we're building.

Is this a medical, fertility, or diagnostic test?

No. Cumomics is not a medical device and the CCI is not a diagnosis. It does not measure fertility, sperm count, or any clinical or health outcome — it measures how much protein is in your sample and ranks it. It's built for curiosity and competition, not medical decisions. For anything health-related, talk to a doctor.

Do I need to download an app?

No app, ever — everything runs in your phone's browser. Open cumomics.com/scan, scan your kit's QR code, and photograph the tube against a lit screen at cumomics.com/light. Works on iPhone and Android.

How does the scan actually work?

Your kit changes color in proportion to its protein content. You photograph the tube against a calibrated on-screen color reference; our server reads the color, corrects for your screen and lighting, applies your kit's batch-specific calibration, and returns your CCI.

How accurate or repeatable is my score?

Every kit ships with batch-specific calibration so scores line up lot to lot, and the on-screen color reference corrects for lighting and camera differences. Like anything biological, a single sample varies with timing and habits — so test a few times and read your trend, not one data point.

Is my data private? What shows on the leaderboard?

Your account is yours. On the public leaderboard you appear under a handle you choose, alongside your state and country — never your name or email. You decide what you share.

What are Cumomics Coins, and what are they worth?

You earn 100 Cumomics Coins for every scan you submit, and one coin is worth a cent. Tip them to other users on the leaderboard, or cash them in the Cumomics store for more kits or Cumomics gear.

What's in a kit, and how do I get one?

Each kit arrives in discreet packaging with a sample tube, a dropper, and a unique QR code — everything you need to test at home, no clinic and no lab. Grab one from the store.

Who is Cumomics for?

Any man curious where he stands on a metric nobody has ever measured. It's built to be fun, competitive, and done entirely from home.
